Letter: Name park for Lynch family

By Jerry Mathis, Vancouver
Published: January 24, 2019, 6:00am

If and when the city of Vancouver decides to develop a park on Northwest Franklin Street, it definitely should be named for the people who donated the land. Ed and Dollie Lynch were two of the nicest and most generous people it’s ever been my pleasure to know. Their last name has absolutely nothing to do with unlawful hangings. Period. Nobody ever turned down any of their incredible generosity in this or any other community.

Now, if you want a last name that will make your stomach churn and even give you nightmares, try the completely incompetent and horribly corrupt current occupant of the White House: Donald J. Trump.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
