Foundation announces $317,357 in local grants

The Honorable Frank and Arlene Price Foundation recently announced $317,357 in health, education and historic preservation grants in Clark and Cowlitz counties and Portland.

Among the 31 awards was $25,000 for the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation toward construction of a Woodland library; $6,200 to the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington to purchase medications for uninsured people; $15,000 to the Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities toward senior oral health; and $15,000 for Shriners Hospitals for Children in Portland for beds and nondrug pain therapy.

The Price Foundation was established by Frank Price, a retired Cowlitz County Superior Court judge and Arlene Price, an art teacher at Huntington Middle School in Kelso. For more information, visit www.pricefoundation.net.
