CENTRAL VANCOUVER — Vancouver-based nonprofit Innovative Services NW received a $500 follow-up grant from OnPoint Community Credit Union, which has headquarters in Portland and three branch locations in Clark County. The grant will help the nonprofit’s Early Learning program and more specifically the A Place for Calm project. The project aims to “provide a welcoming, quiet, calm place for a teacher to take a disruptive child for one-on-one support as the child regains their equilibrium and prepares to re-enter the classroom,” according to a news release. OnPoint Community Credit Union first donated $1,000 to the project in February.
