Letter: Full investigation is needed

Big Don Benton: emblematic of the bootlicking chicken hawks who populate the White House, Republican Senate and “Freedom Caucus” of the House of Representatives. It’s kind of shameful that he has been repeatedly promoted and supported by some politicians and voters in our community.

The “I” word the president doesn’t like to pronounce in full is surely applicable to the situation. Our elected representatives are wise to slow-walk the process. A full accounting and secure legal investigation is needed, and both chambers need to unite and send the legislation they have accomplished, veto-proof, to the actor-in-chief’s desk.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
