Your friendly (Esther Short) neighborhood Spider-Man made a local appearance last week.

Vancouver police were dispatched for a suspicious circumstance report at 4:36 p.m. Thursday at 1220 Main St. A caller reported a man dressed as the superhero looked like he was ready to jump from the second floor of a parking garage, Vancouver Police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said.

The man was actually just taking Spidey selfies, Kapp said. Vancouver Cpl. Rey Reynolds and Cpl. Holly Musser decided not to take a report, and a name was not recorded.

“We did however, take the opportunity for a quick photo,” Kapp said in an email, “since, really, how often does a superhero visit Vancouver?”
