The Fort Vancouver National Historic Site will remain open on the Fourth of July, according to a media release from the National Park Service.
However, only visitors who have a disabled parking pass will be permitted to park within the site on the holiday. All park facilities will be open to pedestrian access.
Throughout the day, National Park Service staff and volunteers will dress in period costumes meant to reflect the 19th century fur trade and Civil War era, and there will be 1930s military re-enactors.
The fireworks show is scheduled to start at 10:05 p.m.
Fort Vancouver and Pearson Air Museum will be open from noon to 8 p.m., the visitor center and bookstore will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Entrance to the reconstructed stockade is $10 for adults and free for children younger than 15.
