Evergreen Highlands — Each year, the students at St. Joseph Catholic School in Vancouver raise money during Catholic Schools Week with their annual Penny Drive. The students read in The Columbian about Ed Barnes’ effort to raise money to build a Wall of Remembrance for Korean War veterans, and wanted to help. They used the drive to collect funds for the project. Students and their families donated $1,555.12 to Barnes and other veterans this past school year.
