Sunset Elementary students sweet on sweet potatoes

Five Corners — Sunset Elementary School played host to the most recent Harvest of the Month, courtesy of Washington State University Extension’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education and Evergreen Public Schools’ Chartwells food service. This month’s local harvest was sweet potatoes, and approximately 500 students were served roasted sweet potatoes. One student commented that they liked it so much that they would put it on their top 10 list of favorite foods. Sweet potatoes were featured on the lunch menu throughout the month at all Evergreen Public Schools elementary schools.
