PeaceHealth Hospice is debuting a new online training program designed for people who want to volunteer, but can’t attend daytime training sessions, according to a PeaceHealth press release.

Hospice volunteer roles range from greeting guests or performing a variety of duties at the Ray Hickey Hospice House to providing respite care and more.

People interested in volunteering still need to attend two evening sessions. The first session on March 13 offers an opportunity to meet the staff and obtain necessary online training credentials, according to the press release.

Potential volunteers would then spend the next month training online at their own pace, before attending an April 10 session for a Q&A, and to complete required paperwork.

Both sessions take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at PeaceHealth Hospice, 5400 MacArthur Blvd., Vancouver. Call 360-696-5069 to pre-register for online training.

The hospice team can also be reached via email at rssw-hospicevolunteerservices@peacehealth.org.
