Women of Distinction

Washington State University will honor women who have inspired and empowered others at the Women of Distinction event at 6 p.m. on March 28 in the Firstenburg Student Commons. Lisa Keohokalole Schauer, recipient of the 2017 Leonard Nadler Leadership Award and recognized by Portland Business Journal as a 2016 Woman of Influence, will deliver a speech, and 39 nominees will be recognized for their efforts and achievements. Three Distinguished Woman awards will be given to a WSU Vancouver student, a WSU Vancouver faculty or staff member, and a community member. Please RSVP at events.vancouver.wsu.edu/women-distinction

Volunteers

The city of Vancouver has recognized nine community members and organizations for their exceptional commitment and contribution to volunteering in Clark County. In appreciation of their accomplishments, each volunteer received a tree planted in their honor at Volunteer Grove in Centerpointe Park.
