Letter: Democrats twisted, dangerous

What has become of the Democratic party? There is not the slightest resemblance of JFK’s party. Since Donald Trump’s election, the party with a fawning media, has mutated into a party of division, obstruction, resistance and blinding hatred. Their scorched-earth goal is, “Destroy the president! The country be damned!”

A number of prominent Democrats label themselves as Socialist Democrats, Democrat Socialists, Progressive Democrats, Collective or Social Justice Democrats. Those terms are nothing more than euphemisms for Marxism or Communism. Other than misery and subjugation, where have such political systems brought prosperity or freedom?

What is the platform of the Democrats? Raise taxes, eliminate private health insurance, abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement, open borders, gun control (confiscation), cut the military by 50 percent, subtly stir up factionalism by race, gender, age, ethnicity and income and, with several exceptions, legalize on-demand abortion, including infanticide. Condoning infanticide was recently demonstrated by Washington state’s two Democratic senators. The detached and heartless senators voted “no” on pursuing the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act.

The Democratic Party has fallen prey to a twisted, lawless and dangerous ideology.
