Letter: Legalize medication from Canada

Prescription drugs are way too expensive in this country. Ask any senior on a fixed income: it’s one of the most stressful things in their lives. Thankfully, Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, has been spearheading a solution to help lower costs. Many prescription drugs are one-third of the cost in Canada, but by law we aren’t able to buy them. She has been fighting to make the safe importation of prescription drugs from Canada legal, which would instantly decrease drug prices.

How can you tell it’s a good solution? The drug companies hate it! Jaime’s last Democrat opponent, Carolyn Long, opposed this bill. Fortunately, Jaime’s focused on us and is free to support real solutions, regardless of what drug companies think.
