Seton Catholic has named Kali Gesser — wife of former Washington State quarterback Jason Gesser — as its new head volleyball coach, athletic director Phil Kent announced Tuesday.

Kali Gesser previously coached at Pullman, leading the Greyhounds to back-to-back 2A state appearances in 2017 and ‘18. As Kali Surplus, she played setter on two WSU volleyball teams in 2000 and ’01 that reached the NCAA tournament both years.

“I am thrilled to join the Seton Catholic family,” Gesser said in a press release. “As a coach, I seek out schools that provide all aspects of our youth’s development and create an environment that fosters growth through trusted relationships.”

Seton went 1-13 last fall under coach Kelly Adams.
