Two horses suffered minor injuries in a rollover crash Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 5.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 4:15 p.m. to southbound I-5 in Ridgefield. A horse trailer came loose from a truck, causing both to roll, Washington State Patrol Trooper Will Finn said.

Two horses inside the trailer were injured, including one that had a cut on its leg, Finn said. The horses were walking around, and a veterinarian arrived on the scene to treat them. No other injuries were reported.

The right lane was blocked for about an hour after the crash, causing a traffic backup during the evening commute.
