Bloodworks Northwest needs volunteers to monitor donors after they give blood, to ensure they are healthy before they leave. Duties include serving refreshments, scheduling appointments and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for donors. Flexible daytime, evening and weekend opportunities at each of the Blood Centers in Vancouver, as well as at mobile sites.

The Clark County Recycled Arts Festival is looking for volunteers for next month’s popular family event, which will last from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 29 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 30. Roles include positions as greeters, picking up litter, providing breaks to vendors, surveying visitors about their experiences, and assisting with kids’ crafts. Youth volunteers require a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. Those younger than 15 must volunteer with a parent or guardian. Volunteers receive a free Recycled Arts Festival T-shirt, and those who volunteer three hours or more will receive a $10 voucher to use at a festival food vendor. Columbia Little League seeks board members to assist with management of property and affairs. Training materials are given and trainees will shadow other board members. The board meets once a month.

Metropolitan Performing Arts seeks Academy volunteers to assist with costuming, painting, construction, prop building, organizational/filing, ushering, marketing, fundraising, summer camp counselors, and assisting the executive director.

Peacehealth Southwest Washington Medical Center is looking for volunteers to work in the gift shop. Volunteers will attend a 1.5 hour general orientation and two to three training shifts. Proceeds from sales benefit Share House. Call 360-514-2035 for more information.

Windermere Stellar is hosting a food drive running now through June 5 to support the Fruit Valley Foundation, which provides basic human needs to the Fruit Valley Elementary School community. Drop off a bag with canned foods, grains, non-perishables and paper products at one of the three Vancouver Windermere offices from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., or contact the office to arrange a pick up.
