Letter: Show concern for what happens next

By Lynda Johnson, Brush Prairie
Published: May 26, 2019, 6:00am

Where is the concern for women and girls who are unwilling participants in pregnancies? Where is the concern for paying the medical expenses for fragile babies with serious physical and emotional needs? Where are the watch dogs for the welfare of adoptees and foster children? Where is the willingness to make sure these babies become well-educated in up-to-date schools with truly skilled teachers? Where are the finances to guide and advise families that are so large they can’t support themselves?

Why is it that the shouting is over abortion, and not over these issues that bring a baby into a safe, healthy, productive life? Why is the emphasis really on “pro-birth” and not on “pro-life?”

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
