Pop-Up Exhibits

Slocum House First Saturday Art Sale, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. On the first Saturday of every month through October, the historic yellow Slocum House hosts a pop-up art show and sale featuring artwork from Mosaic Arts Alliance. International 3D Paper Tole Art Exhibit, May 31 through June 2. Paper tole is the art of using several art prints of the same design to create a 3D picture. View art from Canada, Australia, Europe and the United States. Vote on May 31 or June 1 for the People’s Choice Award and be entered into a $25 drawing. “Reef Fish of the Pacific,” through May. Artist Jeffrey Hill, who divides his time between Vancouver and Hawaii, will exhibit his papier-m?ch? fish in the display case of the Camas Public Library. “Mind’s Eye” Photography Exhibit by Blind and Visually Impaired Students, through May. See eighteen photographs taken by visually impaired and blind students. The students collaborated with sighted volunteers to create images from the student’s “Mind’s Eye,” and the students themselves took the shots. Vancouver City Hall Lobby, 415 W. Heidi Jo Curley and Anna Norris, through May. Curley works with acrylic and oil paints, watercolors, pastels, gesso, charcoal, ink, gel mediums, paper and vintage scraps on wooden canvases. Norris is an acrylic and oil painter who uses intense layers of colors. Camas Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at 408 N.E. “From Barcelona to Portland: Urban Works,” through May. Vancouver High Schools Student Photography Show: “Everyday Heroes,” through June 2. An installation by students from Skyview and Hudson’s Bay high schools and Vancouver School of Arts and Academics is on display at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St. Vancouver — part of a global art project called Inside Out. The large-scale portraits, measuring 36 by 53 inches each, will be visible from Evergreen and C streets and from inside the library.

“Big Skies and Small Wonders,” extended through June 3. This dual show features expansive landscapes that form a background for three-dimensional floral stems made of polymer clay. Mary Chant is the painter of clouds piling up on her horizons; Marilyn Slaby is the sculptor of lifelike blooms. Second Story Gallery, upstairs in the Camas Public Library, 625 N.E.
