Letter: Reject ballot measures

By John Van Dalen, Everett
Published: November 1, 2019, 6:00am

In the “dark of night” the governor and legislators are taking our money and rights for their own pet projects. It is time to say:

Reject all 12 Advisory Votes.

Reject Joint Resolution 8200. It weakens constitutional protections and grants more power to government.

Reject Referendum 88. How many times do we need to tell them no on affirmative action and allow all people of America to compete equally?

Yes for Initiative 976. Remove the illegal calculations by Sound Transit.

As 2020 approaches, ask yourself: Are we beating our heads against the wall and not seeing any changes? Vote them out.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
