How often can our tax-hungry legislators, city and county personnel go to the well on our auto license taxes? How soon we forget the year 2000. Excise taxes on autos, trucks and recreational vehicles had gotten completely out of line. Example — our RV license renewal came with a total fee of $2,630.30. Keep in mind, this was in the year 2000. Enter Tim Eyman with a logical solution: all license fees would be set at $30. The previous initiative passed and the state of Washington still maintained the roads and the state did not go broke. Not impossible, but fair. Please vote “yes” for fairer taxation.
