Letter: Support Sproul for school board

By Karis Cooper, Vancouver
Published: November 2, 2019, 6:00am

Kyle Sproul is the clear choice for the Vancouver school board. Any parent who spends time in our schools knows there are always opportunities for growth and improvement. In the past few weeks, some of these glaring opportunities have been exposed, like the infuriating state Attorney General’s report about student discipline challenges, and data supporting growing achievement gaps and lower-than-state-average test scores. VPS shares select news and data (often with a positive spin) but our community deserves better; our kids deserve better. VPS can do better, especially with Kyle on the board.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
