BONNEY LAKE — A man has died at a Washington waterfall, although authorities were not immediately able to explain the circumstances.

KOMO-TV reported Sunday that investigators believe 56-year-old Steve Hair fell more than 60 feet  at Victor Falls in Bonney Lake.

Police in the city about 38 miles south of Seattle were called to the scene Saturday night by a group of people who reported seeing a man in the water below the falls.

Police say Hair was dead when officers and rescue personnel arrived.

Andrew Hair says police returned his father’s property and told the family there was no sign of foul play.

The Bonney Lake Police did not return a request for additional details Sunday.
