Columbia River girls soccer reaches 2A state semifinals

The Columbia River girls soccer team are off to their fourth consecutive final four appearance.

Yaneisy Rodriguez scored twice on free kicks and assisted on the Chieftains other two goals as Columbia River beat Liberty 4-1 on Saturday at Issaquah in the 2A state quarterfinals.

Columbia River (20-1-0) will take on Selah at 8 p.m. Friday at Shoreline Stadium in Shorecrest.

The Chieftains led 2-0 at the half on the first of Rodriguez’s two goals and a goal by Shalece Easley.

Andie Buckley scored in the second half, and Rodriguez capped the scoring.

Allison Countryman made five saves in goal.
