Esther Short — The Labor Roundtable of Southwest Washington held their 36th annual banquet to recognize citizens, businesses and labor for their achievements at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. There were more than 260 people in attendance. At the end of the event, Roy Jennings, secretary treasurer, and Dave Letinich, vice president, made a surprise donation of $5,045 to the Clark County chapter of the National Korean War Veterans Association Inc., the Richard L. Quatier Chapter. The local group is working on fundraising efforts to build a national wall of remembrance in Washington, D.C. In October, the Labor Roundtable presented the chapter with a check. Since 2018, the veterans group has raised close to $68,000 for the project.
