Letter: Keep undesirables out

By Jeff Deal, Vancouver
Published: November 22, 2019, 6:00am

I’ve been hearing reports that Donald Trump is threatening to dump thousands of fired Cabinet members and aides on West Coast cities that didn’t support him. I find that to be very alarming, since Portland is just across the river. Former Trump staffers like Steve Bannon, Kirstjen Nielsen and Scott Pruitt could soon be infesting our safe communities. Vancouver residents must call their Congress members and stop this onslaught of unsavory castoffs from coming here. I could have sworn I saw Anthony Scaramucci at the Burger King on Chkalov last night. Listen Trump: “Our city is full!”

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
