Catholic Community Services of Western Washington is looking for home improvement volunteers to help low-income clients with minor household repairs so they may remain in their homes. There are opportunities for businesses as well that would like to volunteer or provide pro-bono services. Volunteers who can spare a couple of hours a month are also needed to help clients with housework. No experience is necessary. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

KXRW.FM, an independent, volunteer-based community organization dedicated to delivering quality programming with an emphasis on local voices, seeks volunteers for a variety of opportunities, including tabling events and fundraising and learning how to become a program host/producer. Experience with Hindenburg Journalist software is helpful. Workshops are available for those with no previous radio experience.

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center needs volunteer quilters and sewers to create comfort quilts for the patients and families at Ray Hickey Hospice House. Quilts should be approximately 60 by 90 inches and can be any color, pattern or design. Lap quilts are also accepted for in-home respite patients. All quilts must be unused. Every Veteran on Hospice Southwest receives a patriotic pillowcase and certificate upon admission as a show of gratitude for their service to our country.
