As a conservative, I am finding that the letters appearing in the Our Readers’ Views section to be more hateful all the time. The impeachment call is almost deafening: To heck with the facts, impeach that rogue Trump regardless of the facts.
I sort of see Trump as a large salmon going up the Columbia. When he passes the Astoria bridge a sea lion makes a pass but misses the first time but chases him up the river right on his tail. The salmon decides to name this fellow Impeach. Impeach has now chased the salmon all the way to Bonneville. The salmon heads to the fish ladder only to find Impeach waiting. Can the salmon dodge him one more time and make it on up the river to be able to spawn in 2020, or will he be caught some other way? To be continued.
