Prep highlights: King’s Way volleyball remains unbeaten, sweeps La Center

Knights will face Castle Rock next

Dana Snider had 15 kills as the King’s Way Christian volleyball team remained perfect with a three-set sweep at La Center on Tuesday.

The set scores were 25-19, 25-16, 25-8.

Abby Cummins added five kills, 27 assists and nine digs as the Knights improved to 7-0 overall.

Delany Devine added 12 digs, and Brookie Mattila had seven kills, two blocks and two aces.

King’s Way shares the top spot in the 1A Trico League with Castle Rock at 3-0.

This is the second consecutive season King’s Way has started 7-0. The Knights went on go 14-6 and reach the 1A state tournament.

La Center fell to 4-4 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Stars of the day

Isaac Kinsman, Prairie boys golf, shot a 3-over-par 37 at Fairway Village for medalist honors in a dual match against Fort Vancouver.

Fallon Wiley, Heritage slowpitch softball, went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBI in an 11-4 win over Battle Ground.

Alison Snyder, Camas slowpitch softball, was 2 for 3 with four RBI in an 11-1 win over Evergreen.

Shannon Coffey, Seton Catholic girls soccer, had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Stevenson.

Emma Swett, Woodland volleyball, had 12 kills, 11 digs and 3 aces in a sweep of Hockinson.

Karlee Hawkins, Mountain View slowpitch softball, went a combined 5 for 7 with three home runs and four RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Fort Vancouver.

Cami Price, Seton Catholic volleyball, had 11 kills and four aces in a sweep of Stevenson.

Ellie Seekins, Hockinson girls soccer, scored a hat trick and had one assist in a 9-0 win over Woodland.
