Letter: Support Barnes for port

By William LaFrance, vancouver
Published: October 9, 2019, 6:00am

Dan Barnes is my choice for port commissioner. The Port of Vancouver promotes businesses to bring jobs and prosperity into our community. As a retired member of IBEW No. 48, I understand the needs of the working man in Vancouver. For 30-plus years I crossed the Columbia River to work. Our port has great potential. Dan has 35 years of experience in real business: starting and owning businesses, buying and selling property, and for 39 years advising other businesses to be more effective and efficient. Dan Barnes has the prudence to manage our tax monies wisely.
