Letter: Remove stain from United States

Trump is predicting a civil war when he is impeached. I am predicting something else: a colossal, national (if not worldwide) sigh of relief that this stain on our nation’s heritage and legacy will finally be gone. I unfortunately have close family members who lean toward the Republican politics, but even they are now saying, “Enough already.” Carry on methodically, Nancy Pelosi, to get this done. Trump threatening whistleblowers and supporting a $50,000 bounty is way over the top.

Hopefully we will soon be able to get back to the business at hand: global security, global climate change, some universal background checks for assault weapons, more honest and less spiteful political rhetoric, not persecuting people of color who come to our country to improve their odds of success, as well as ours.

God bless America.
