Women’s association funds scholarships for girls in STEM program

Esther Short — Members from the Vancouver and Hudson’s Bay branches of the American Association of University Women raised funds to send six seventh-grade girls to Tech Trek camp at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma over the summer. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship. The girls presented some of what they learned at the program to the branches. The program introduces girls to careers in science, technology, engineering and math.
