4A GSHL football: Camas 41, Battle Ground 14

Camas jumped to an early lead and defeated Battle Ground on Friday at District Stadium.

Jake Blair completed nearly 86 percent of his passes with 175 yards and two touchdowns in the first half. He found seven different receivers on 12 completions and added 35 yards rushing.

Tyler Forner found the end zone twice in the first quarter and finished with 51 yards on just three rushes. Gabe Guo and Randy Yaacoub also added rushing scores for the Papermakers.

Camas scored on its first six possessions including three touchdowns in a four-play span.

The Papermaker defense forced Battle Ground to punt on five of their first six possessions while the remaining drive ended in an interception by Kolby Broadbent.

Camas allowed just two first downs in the first half, which ended 41-0.

Steven Hancock led Battle Ground with 94 yards on 24 carries.
