Artist’s Talk

“Interconnected, Interwoven, Interactive,” through October, features works by Pamela Chipman and Jill Falk, whose paintings reveal patterns of perception beyond the present moment. Falk will give an artist’s talk at 11 a.m. Oct. 19 at the gallery. While there, see Chipman’s photographs and interactive video installation focusing on gender inequality. “Wild: An Introspective Featuring the Art of Glo McCullough, Graece Gabriel, and Sarah Bartell,” through Oct. 26. Join WyldArt portrait painter Glo McCollough, homesteader, taxidermist and survivalist Sarah Bartell, and wildlife photographer Graece Gabriel as they take viewers on an artistic exploration of some of North America’s most majestic creatures. Southwest Washington Watercolor Society Fall Exhibition, through Oct. 26. The exhibition will showcase more than 100 watercolor and water media artworks from SWWS juried and associate members. Jemila Hart, Jacob Heiny, and G. Scott Rafite, through the fall. See a selection of pieces from Rafite’s series, “Irrational Patterns,” mixed media lines and shapes on French paper. Hart creates scenes of rocks, water and sky using monoprint techniques, while Heiny’s uncanny photographs play with perception. “Different Views of Several Landscapes,” through Dec. 23, features artwork by Jeffrey Opp and Paul Solevad. Opp’s photos demonstrate how life extends beyond its own subjective limits. “Kevin Peters: Redefining Past and Present,” through Feb. 15, features art by Nez Perce artist Kevin Peters. His most coveted pieces are traditional works such as quilts, headdresses, and buckskin and rawhide items. His works honor past artists while reflecting contemporary Nez Perce culture.
