Letter: Keep Perkins on school board

By Tina Lambert, Vancouver
Published: October 23, 2019, 6:00am

If you live in the Evergreen school district, I urge you to vote for Rob Perkins for school director, District 2. Rob has the experience necessary to continue to be an effective advocate for students, parents and teachers. His opponent is a member of the Vancouver teachers union. We all remember the statewide teachers strikes of 2018. A union member on a school board is an obvious conflict of interest, especially during collective bargaining. Please do not let the teachers union take over your school board. Vote for Rob.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
