Letter: Pick Decker for school board

By Pamela Erdy, Vancouver
Published: October 30, 2019, 6:00am

As an active collaborator in our community and an experienced educator, Kathy Decker is a strong advocate for children’s education. She understands the importance of providing them what they need at every stage of their development, beginning in early childhood, to create lifelong learners. I’m voting for her because she’ll rely on research, seeking the opinions of experts, like our teachers, while including parents in the process. Decisions won’t be made based on feelings or emotions. Kathy Decker will work to ensure students get the best education possible, so they can choose their careers and have the futures they desire.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
