Letter: Not making America greater

By John Monaco, Vancouver
Published: September 16, 2019, 6:00am

Trump was elected by manipulating social media. Cambridge Analytica used Facebook to influence decisions made by voters in key states that have large Electoral College numbers. This is the primary reason Donald Trump is president.

He wants to think his win was legitimate, however, it wasn’t. Vulnerable voters in key states believed the propaganda spread through social media. It is absolutely criminal what he and his administration are doing to immigration, LGBT, the environment, taxes, etc. I hope Christian conservatives, Big Oil, the NRA appreciate what he’s doing. Heaven help us if Ruth Bader Ginsburg passes while he’s in office. We will see the most partisan, conservative Supreme Court in our lifetimes. This won’t make America greater.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
