BirdFest and Bluegrass Festival seeks volunteers to help set up the event and assist with kids crafts and activities. Most shifts are in two-hour increments. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing, hats and closed-toe shoes.

Confluence Project volunteers help with various duties including gardening and painting at the Vancouver Land Bridge, gardening at Sandy River Delta, tabling at various events, or helping in the office with mailings or special projects such as graphic designs. Opportunities for weekend and evening volunteering are often available.

Clark Veterans needs volunteers to help clean and restore the Veterans of Foreign Wars memorial on Phil Arnold Way from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., Oct. 12. Volunteer projects include power washing, weeding, raking, picking up litter, cleaning the memorial plaza, and more. Training, gloves, tools, water and snacks will be provided. Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Youth under 18 must bring a signed minor consent form.

Free Clinics of Southwest Washington seeks volunteers for positions such as administrative assistant, dental assistant, dentist, lab technician, nurse, optometric/ophthalmic technician, optometrist/ophthalmologist, registration, pharmacist, pharmacy technician, physician, and Spanish interpreter. Days and times dependent on need and volunteer’s schedule.

Humane Society for Southwest Washington is in need of store assistants at ReTails Thrift Store. Volunteers will engage customers in conversation, suggest promotions and clothing selections, answer customer questions, organize merchandise, assist cashier with bagging and wrapping purchases when necessary and more. Shifts are available seven days a week.

KXRW Vancouver 99.9 FM is a local radio station seeking volunteers for everything from fundraising, tabling events or even learning how to become a producer or program host.

YWCA Clark County is looking for Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers to represent the best interests of a child placed in the foster care system, ensuring that the child’s voice is heard. The CASA gathers information, follows the child’s progress, monitors parent’s progress, facilitates positive communication, and makes recommendations to the Court based on their findings. Thirty hours of pre-service training and 12 hours of annual continuing education are provided.
