Authorities are asking for help in their investigation of a crime spree targeting an Oak Grove convenience store.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said the same suspect may have been involved in a string of three summer incidents at the Vista Market: an armed robbery and assault, attempted robbery and assault, and a shoplifting case.

In the first incident, which came July 15, deputies said the suspect stole smoking pipes worth about $500 from the store, 14666 S.E. River Rd., and left on a bicycle. Authorities think an accomplice came to the store beforehand. The accomplice was also seen at the store during the incident, deputies said.

Over a month later, on Aug. 28, the suspect went over the counter and robbed the owner of the store at knifepoint, deputies said. A struggle ensued, and the owner suffered a head laceration and other injuries. The suspect left with cash and glass pipes.

The suspect on Sept. 6 fought with a clerk who tried to thwart a potential robbery attempt, deputies said. The clerk suffered cuts and bruises on his face.

The suspect carried the same kind of Adidas backpack during the second two incidents, deputies said. Detectives are asking for tips as they work to identify the suspect.
