Non-league football: Hudson’s Bay 33, Franklin (Ore.) 14

Quarterback Raven Barnes rushed for two touchdowns in the first quarter, sparking Hudson’s Bay over Franklin of Portland at Kiggins Bowl.

Barnes scored from 8 and 13 yards as the Eagles won their first game of the season.

Derek Barnes, Mateo Varona and Jamarion Hinton added touchdown runs as the Eagles scored the game’s first 33 points.

The Eagles rushed for 314 yards, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Varona led the way with 82 yards.

Both of Hudson’s Bay’s first-quarter touchdowns came after Franklin (0-4) fumbled in its own territory.
