Letter: Inslee’s abortion stance is sad

Gov. Inslee has mandated extraordinary restrictions in order to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and to save lives. Included in these restrictions is the prohibition of “all hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and dental, orthodontic and endodontic offices in Washington state from providing health care services, procedures and surgeries that require personal protective equipment, which if delayed, are not anticipated to cause harm to the patient within the next three months.”

However, the governor made an exception for abortion (Proclamation by the Governor Amending Proclamation 20-05; 20-24 Restrictions on Non-Urgent Medical Procedures). How sad and tragic that it appears he considers the elective choice to take the life of an unborn child to be a necessary medical procedure. Let us indeed protect the most vulnerable among us including the child in the womb.
