Letter: Trump looks out for himself

After the election of Trump and his attacks on American allies and his America-first policy, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Europe can no longer count on the United States to protect it, urging the continent to “take destiny into its own hands.” The nation’s governors say they can’t count on Washington, D.C., to supply medical equipment so they are making plans to band together and procure supplies themselves.

So our allies cannot depend on Trump’s federal government, and I see our own states cannot depend on this administration’s federal government. Just who can depend on the federal government? My guess is Donald Trump. I imagine any organization or business associated with Trump and his family has already received their emergency funding to the tune of millions, if not more. How are you doing?
