Letter: Congress deserves scrutiny

When President Donald J. Trump does anything, certain factions in this country always complain, and always criticize any actions he takes. The claim often is that he has not done enough especially nowadays, and unscrupulously always find faults.

Hypercritical hypocrites. Remember your civics that our federal government functions under a Constitution, and all branches work together in synergy — if you believe that. Instead of frivolously complaining that President Trump does not do enough for the citizens of the United States, let the public deem him a benevolent despot, and good things will occur for the United States of America.

Which readers are aware of the frivolous pork and Green New Deal items included in the H.R. 748 CARES Act? That is both sides of the aisle and two branches of the federal government working together to generate and enact that monstrous legislation. When there is lack of oversight, is it a lack of oversight by the citizens over the government?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
