The Southwest Washington Contractors Association will hold a “Let’s Get Back to Work Safely” webinar at 8 a.m. Friday, aimed at helping contractors develop the right tools and health safety plans to resume work at job sites.

Gov. Jay Inslee announced last week that “low-risk” work on existing construction projects would be allowed to resume, subject to new health safety restrictions. The announcement came after a monthlong ban on all nonemergency construction to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Southwest Washington Contractors Association Executive Director Nelson Holmberg will moderate a panel consisting of Chuck Green of Vancouver-based Otak, Darcy Hoffman of Workforce Southwest Washington and Logan Kysar of Battle Ground-based Tapani Inc.

The panel discussion will focus on job site safety and health, tips for bringing back furloughed workers and best practices from contractors on existing emergency projects. The webinar will be held via Zoom, by invitation only. Interested parties can learn more and sign up by visiting the events page at swca.org.
