Letter: Troublemakers obscure message

By Rob Baur, Ridgefield

What would John Lewis do? In the protests in Portland, the Navy vet who stood there threatening no one and was brutally beaten for no reason exemplifies what John Lewis would do and did do in the face of police brutality. The anarchists throwing fireworks and starting fires distract from the Black Lives Matter movement and police brutality issues and provide Trump and Fox News with ammunition to discredit the peaceful protests.
