Organization honors early childhood learning supporters

BENNINGTON — Educational Opportunities for Children and Families announced its Early Learning Champions Award winners. They will be honored virtually at its eighth annual Red & White on a Summer’s Night, which will be streamed live on the organization’s Facebook page starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Winners were: Jerry Todd of Learning Avenues Child Care Centers, Alan Ham Leadership Award; Jacque Woods of Educational Opportunities for Children and Families Long Beach, Community Early Learning Staff Person of the Year Award; Lynn Dunn of Washington State University Vancouver Child Development program, Community Early Learning Champion Award; and PeaceHealth Affinity Black Allies Network Group, Community or Business Partner Award. “We are honored to recognize these individuals and the PeaceHealth Affinity BANG for their leadership in championing the cause of early learning, their public advocacy for early learning, and service to the early learning community with their personal and/or corporate commitment of time, talent and treasure,” said Rekah Strong, Educational Opportunities for Children and Families executive director.
