Update: A BNSF Railway officer located Stonehouse on Monday morning near the train tracks in Fruit Valley. He was conscious and alert and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Vancouver man who suffers from dementia symptoms.

Darrell Stonehouse, 72, was reported missing from his home in the northwest Lincoln neighborhood on Saturday.

He was believed to have been on the Discovery and Burnt Bridge Creek trails on Saturday. The Vancouver Police Department said there were unsubstantiated sightings of Stonehouse in downtown Vancouver on Sunday.

Stonehouse is white, 6-foot-2 with short gray hair and weighs approximately 200 pounds.

Relatives of Stonehouse pled for help on Facebook, worried he could succumb to the heat wave that enveloped Clark County this weekend. Temperatures were in the high 90s when Stonehouse went missing Saturday.

Anyone who sees Stonehouse is asked to call 911.
