A man was expected to survive after being wounded in a shooting early Monday morning in Vancouver’s Meadow Homes neighborhood.

Vancouver police were dispatched shortly after 2 a.m. to 1907 Carlson Road for a report of an assault with a weapon. Firefighters also responded for a wounded person, according to emergency dispatch logs.

Police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email that two men and a woman were at the address. The woman went inside, and the men stayed outside to smoke. One of the men shot the other and fled the area, Kapp said.

Everyone involved appears to be acquainted, and there is no threat to the public, she said.

Police are searching for the shooter.
