LONGVIEW — The remaining two men accused in the January 2019 fatal shooting at Holt’s Quik Chek Market in Kelso were sentenced Monday to about two decades in prison for their roles in supplying a disguise and weapon and driving the getaway car.
D’Anthony Leslie Williams, 20, who shot and killed Quik Chek clerk Kayla Dezaree Chapman, was previously sentenced to life in prison on Nov. 20. The two men with him at the time of the murder, Nenemeny Winter Ekiek and Erkinson Kinisou Bossy, were allowed to enter new pleas to lesser charges in exchange for testifying in Williams’ trial.
Ekiek, 22, was sentenced on Nov. 30 to about 18 years in prison and nearly 5 years in community custody, also known as parole.
He was suspected of supplying Williams with a hat and red bandanna disguise used in the robbery-homicide. Ekiek was given 18 years in prison and three years in community custody for second-degree murder in the course of a robbery and about 5.5 years in prison and 1.5 years in community custody for first-degree robbery. He will serve the sentences concurrently, meaning he will serve a total of 18 years in prison.
