Letter: Biden is fully qualified

On Sunday, Nov. 29, my wife, son and I went for a short hike downtown about 3 p.m. and while walking near Esther Short Park we noticed a crowd of two groups of people, many dressed in riot gear with weapons. Upon entering a parking lot we began talk with a couple of men, wearing riot gear and armed, in a pickup. The main topic quickly became the current local area riots and devolved into the election of Joe Biden, president-elect, and his 47 years in national politics vs. President Donald Trump and his four years of chaos.

Neither myself nor the men could speak definitively about their records, except it was clear to me that the sooner Trump concedes that Biden was legally elected, the general tenor of the nation will become a bit more pleasant. So, deciding to better educate myself I have done some light research on Biden, which shows his record is full of important accomplishments both as a U.S. senator of many years and as vice president in the Obama administration.

Should others wonder about the detail of Biden’s record, the following link could be useful: http://twitter.com/govtrack. I voted for Biden in the election.
