Vancouver police search for missing boy, 12

Update: Jovanni Chavez has been found and is home safe. 

Police are searching for a missing 12-year-old boy, Jovanni Chavez, last seen on Thursday at 1 p.m. near the 3200 block of Grand Boulevard.

Chavez is about 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds, according to a Friday news release from the Vancouver Police Department.

He has black hair and brown eyes, and he was last seen wearing black jeans and a black sweatshirt with a tiger graphic.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
