Girls basketball: La Center 55, Stevenson 35

The Wildcats wrapped up the Trico League title with the win at Stevenson, but needed a strong second half to get the job done.

The host Bulldogs led 17-14 at halftime, and La Center’s Mia Edwards helped launch the Wildcats to the win by making 5 of 7 3-pointers in the second half. She finished with a game-high 17 points.

Also for La Center, Alyse Webberley scored 15 points, Kylee Stephens had 10 points, eight assists and four steals, Natasha Lewis had eight rebounds, and Gianna D’Emilio had 12 rebounds and nine points.

Cassie Macnab had 10 points for Stevenson.
